It's finally here, the sun, the warmth, the summer. Baina pool towels are being thrown into bike baskets, travel-worthy skincare is tucked into luggage and the seeds of spring are starting to bloom in backyards.

This month, the HH team is lathering mineral sunscreen, playing with 19/99's bright colours and throwing open the doors of the original hut up in Muskoka — now open every weekend in June, 10-5.



TARA: Getting ready for summer with a Baina Pool Towel in Caper and Chalk, a spritz of LESSE Regeneration Mist and 19/99 Fiore Precision Colour Pencil on my lips.

TARA: Visiting the south of France to celebrate my in-law's 50th wedding anniversary.

NAT: Spending as much time in the sun as possible, spending time in the Beaches and planning a trip to the Muskoka hut.

MARY: Watering the garden and watching it grow!

JENNY: Visiting Portugal and lounging at the TD Toronto Jazz Fest in Yorkville.

JERONNIE: Bowling at Splitsville.

SARAH: Biking, long neighbourhood walks and enjoying the beautiful spring weather!

MELISSA: Bike rides along Cherry Beach.


TARA: Fresh veggies from the market, baguettes and French cheese.

NAT:  Homemade green bean salad with roasted broccoli, chickpeas and a balsamic dressing. Also craving peanut butter, always, and slapping it onto my homemade banana bread.

MARY: Fresh lemon balm from the garden for iced tea.

JENNY: Dreaming about the ice tea vegan ice cream at Willard's in Hamilton.

JERONNIE: Homemade Korean Cucumber Salad and matcha lemonade’s.

SARAH: Fresh bagels and sun-dried tomato cream cheese from Nu Bügel in Kensignton Market. 

MELISSA: Everything on the menu from Fruitful Market.


TARA: Greta and Valdin by Rebecca K Reilly.

MARY: Bird Suit by Sydney Hegele.

JENNY: Prairie, Dresses, Art, Other by Danille Dutton.

SARAH: The Limerence — beautiful painted illustrations in this little book!
