Behind the brand is Mara Roszak, a celebrated hairstylist with over 20 years of experience, known for her ability to sculpt hair into its most natural, effortless form. With RŌZ, she’s created a clean, high-performance line that delivers on simplicity, results, and sensory beauty.

In this exclusive interview, Mara opens up about her creative journey, the emotional power of hair, and the rise of one of today’s most trusted frizzy hair treatments.

Hair is intimate. It’s personal. It can change how we feel about ourselves in an instant. Good hair days are a thing. You've spent years perfecting effortless, natural styles—what is it about hair that fascinates you?

And what is it about RŌZ that has people so obsessed?

MARA:
I've been obsessed with hair since I was 13 years old. It began with a desire to get my own frizzy “post puberty” hair to be straight like my friends. I was determined and eventually got really good at it. Then, I started styling the hair of friends and family members until I enrolled in beauty school at 16-turning 17 years old.

I've always loved how hair feels like sculpting and how it can completely change a mood or energy in a person. It is emotional, so much is connected to our hair, it's a security, but can also be so liberating when letting go of it. It’s a transformative process and one I feel so honoured to be trusted with.

Let’s talk about the new kid on the block: the Evergreen Style Cream.

What gap does this product fill in the world of haircare? Who is this cream made for, and why is it a must-have? Give us the insider scoop on how to use it for the best results.

MARA:
The product is an IFYKYK type product that hair professionals and clients alike are loving! I couldn’t find a styling cream that was lightweight and nonsticky but had the holding ability I wanted. The Evergreen Styling Cream is a perfect alternative to a hard gel styling product, and it leaves no residue.

I use it on dry hair as a finishing cream to sculpt and slick back hair or tame flyaways, it really is very multipurpose.

Two decades in the industry means you’ve seen trends come and go—but great hair never goes out of style. What’s one piece of beauty advice you’d give to your younger self?

MARA:
I wish I accepted what was unique about me. When we’re young there’s such a desire to fit in because you're trying to find yourself. But, when you get older you realize what makes you unique is what is so beautiful, I wish I could’ve accepted that earlier.

MARA:
Impossible to pick between the Milk Serum and Willow Glen. Start with Willow Glen to deeply nourish and leave it on as an overnight treatment (or 5 minutes if that’s all you have), saturating scalp through ends, then cleanse with foundation shampoo and condition with mask.

It’s really all about hydration and bringing that back into the hair post dryer months.
