HH October Picks

This October, we're revelling in fall's outdoor splendour, from colourful lakeside walks to cozy BBQs and Thanksgiving gatherings.

Libra season inspires us to find balance with our favourite books and TV shows, all while enjoying hearty dishes and pumpkin-flavoured treats. We can't wait to celebrate this beautiful blend of outdoor adventure and indoor coziness as we welcome the spirit of October.

Melissa: Seeing friends who are visiting from out of town.

Jeronnie: Mini putt and hitting the driving range.

Jenny: Celebrating Libra season, going to the cottage and hosting candlelit dinner parties.

Jenna: Study notes.

Jeronnie: Finishing Roz Weston's memoir.

Mary: Venco by Cherie Dimaline.

Rachel: Those Who Leave and Those Who Stay, the third book in Elena Ferrante's Neapolitan quartet.

Tara: The Goldfinch by Donna Tartt.


Jenny: Loving the avocado toast at Kupfert & Kim.

Jeronnie: Pesto pasta.

Nat: Grilled cauliflower with tahini, chickpeas and wild rice.

Melissa: Pistachio Tart from our neighbours, Mercatino E Vini.

Mary: Pumpkin everything!

Tara: Gnocchi with kale, mushrooms and parmesan and hearty salads with garlic-y dressing.

Jenna: This easy chickpea curry, I add cauliflower & carrots and serve it with jasmine rice.

Rachel: Pumpkin and cinnamon oats for breakie every morning.
