It's in the Bag: Elizabeth Mitchell

Posted by Jenny Tellier on

It's in the Bag is inspired by the 90s magazines we grew up with - a peek into the bags of people we love and the things that are important enough to carry with them all day long.

WHO: Elizabeth, 62. Writer, editor, model.

BAG OF CHOICE: The Boxed Shoulder Tote by HOI BO

CURRENTLY CARRYING:

NOTO Gold Glow Stick

I love having this on hand. If I’m not on set, I wear minimal, if any, makeup and this glow stick is perfect for a mid-day or late-afternoon brightness booster. A little dab on my cheekbones is all it takes; it’s amazing how a little glow changes the way your day looks—and feels. Like sunshine. It takes up no space and I love knowing it’s in my bag in case I need it.

The Cure Hand and Cuticle Serum

I have yet to discover a product from The Cure that I don’t love. This handy, roll-on bottle is another gem to take with you—especially now the cooler seasons are, literally, on hand. Having this in my bag has created a practice of using it daily to combat the impact indoor heating has on my hands. It absorbs easily and smells wonderful.

Province Apothecary Repairing + Conditioning Lip Balm and F. Miller Lip Balm

I have one of these—if not both—in my bag at all times. If pressed, I’d lean a little more towards Provence, but either one is essential all year round. I’ve tried many lip balms throughout the years and these two top the charts.

Living Libations Crystal Nail File

Living Libations is slowly taking over my entire skincare regime—every product I have used is top-notch. Their Crystal Nail File is no exception. It comes in its own case and its solid durability makes it last—I have had the one I use for years. You never know when you may need one.

Salt & Stone Tinted Sunscreen Stick SPF 50

I have been very inconsistent with my use of sunblock on my face, mainly because in my youth products either irritated my skin or gave the impression I was practicing mime. Also, riding my bike around the city, whatever I used would inevitably irritate my eyes. Salt & Stone Tinted Sunscreen Stick SPF 50 comes in a handy container—not much larger than a lip balm—and it goes on smoothly, doesn’t irritate my skin or eyes, and absorbs into my skin without a trace. Its handy size helps me protect my skin all year round. Love it.”
