CONTENT SPECIALIST - HEALTH HUT COLLEGE/LESLIEVILLE

We are seeking a talented and creative Content Specialist to join our small and passionate eCommerce and Marketing team. As a Content Specialist, you will develop and execute captivating visual and written content across digital marketing platforms including Instagram, TikTok, Klaviyo, and Shopify. You will be our go-to for executing daily social media posts, weekly blogs, and tri-weekly email campaigns that will make our customers giddy about the products and services we offer.

Our ideal candidate will love getting in front of the camera to share the latest skincare trends, appreciates telling a good story (orally and visually), and writes up dreamy copy that grabs the attention of our target audience and loyal HH community. Your expertise will be instrumental in translating our in-store experience and exceptional customer service to our online customers.

REPORTING TO: Ecommerce + Marketing Manager

RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Create and curate compelling daily content for Health Hut’s social platforms (Instagram and TikTok), including images, videos, design and captions
  • Strategize, organize, shoot, and adjust content creation to improve KPIs
  • Manage social community for Instagram and TikTok by providing outstanding customer support and building positive relationships through comments and DMs 
  • Research and write engaging and educational weekly blog articles using best SEO practices and covering a range of topics related to products, industry trends, and customer interests
  • Write persuasive and welcoming copy for three weekly email campaigns, including subject lines, body content, and calls to action to drive open rates and conversion
  • Collaborate with the HH team, brand founders, brand reps, and HH community to gather content and insights, ensuring accuracy and relevance in all content
  • Work from a content calendar ensuring consistent and timely delivery of content
  • Stay informed on industry trends, competitor activities, and recommend innovative content ideas
  • Create visually appealing graphics and visuals in Canva to support content initiatives
  • Monitor, analyze, and report content performance metrics, such as engagement rates, click-through rates, and conversions
  • Maintain brand consistency and adhere to brand guidelines and voice in all content produced
  • Uphold HH values and maintain positivity, kindness and respect in all communication and content

QUALIFICATIONS AND SKILLS:

  • Education or experience  in marketing, communications, design, journalism or a related field
  • One year of proven experience as a Content Specialist, Social Media Specialist, Content Writer or similar role
  • Strong writing skills with the ability to create original and error-free content
  • Experience writing compelling copy for digital campaigns
  • Proficiency in using social media platforms, including Instagram and TikTok, and knowledge of their content creation and publishing features
  • Familiarity with Shopify, Klaviyo and Later is an asset
  • Proficiency in Canva with an aesthetic eye for good design
  • Foundational understanding of content marketing principles and best practices
  • Strong organizational and time management skills with the ability to handle multiple projects simultaneously and meet deadlines
  • Analytical mindset with the ability to interpret data and metrics to drive content optimization
  • Creative and imaginative, with the ability to generate new ideas to keep content fun and engaging
  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to producing high-quality work
  • Ability to work effectively both independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment
  • Enthusiastic about the natural skincare and clean beauty industry

EMPLOYMENT TYPE:

Part time, approximately 24 hours.

COMPENSATION:

$22-24/hour, based on experience. 

Includes 4% vacation pay, two paid sick days, and a discount on all products.

LOCATION:

Hybrid in person and work from home. Must be able to work at both Toronto store locations on a weekly basis (786 College St and 1025 Queen St E).
